Our Story

The story unfolds around the comfort food, mashed potatoes. The concept of “mash” encompasses connecting health care professionals to an underrepresented community in Nashville. Our initial focus was to bring local CBO’s and ASO’s together together to strategize ways we can support each other and build our programs. We mashed up our strengths to find unique ways to fill gaps for LGBTQ people of color.

MashUp! is a licensed nonprofit that continues to innovate and expand outside of Nashville to reach other communities. We are an information hub that strives to connect people with resources. We extend our services with basic necessities such as shelter, money, and interaction. MashUp! welcomes all people to receive educational awareness in order for all people to become partners with wanting to support our community.
