About the Event
At a time when Black LGBTQ+ communities are under attack, Canvas for Change: Convening LGBTQ+ Advocates, Artists, and Allies is a bold invitation to imagine amidst orchestrated chaos and contrary political winds. Held October 23–25, 2025 in Nashville, TN, this two-and-a-half-day convening brings together emerging and longtime advocates to reimagine the institutions that shape our everyday lives. Music and art will guide every moment, and we’ll close with the premiere of Pride in the Pews’ debut short film, The Gospel According To — a powerful celebration of Black LGBTQ+ life, art, and culture. We invite you to come ready to engage. Bring your questions, your convictions, and your creativity. Pride in the Pews will bring the canvas and together we’ll architect new worlds.
