Are you someone who still finds beauty in gospel music but no longer feels welcome in the church? Have you ever wrestled with the feeling that your faith and your identity can’t coexist? The Wholiness Project is for you.
Led by Black queer community leaders and spiritual thinkers, The Wholiness Project creates sacred spaces where LGBTQ+ people—especially those shaped by the Black church experience—can begin to heal from religious trauma, reconnect with their spirituality, and embrace their full selves without shame.
Through storytelling, community events, spiritual dialogue, and celebration, we are reclaiming what it means to be “holy”—and redefining it on our terms. You’ll hear from affirming ministers, queer theologians, and people living with HIV who are reshaping the narratives that once excluded them.
Whether you’ve left religion behind, still hold on to parts of it, or are figuring it out in your own time—you are welcome here.
