Chinkapin Craftstead will host its first-ever Queer African American Songwriter Showcase at its outdoor pavilion stage. Nashville-based artists Julia Cannon, Lamarr Lyons, and Saaneah will perform original songs and tell stories in an intimate songwriter round.

About the Event
Chinkapin Craftstead will host its first-ever Queer African American Songwriter Showcase at its outdoor pavilion stage on Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m. Nashville-based artists Julia Cannon, Lamarr Lyons, and Saaneah will perform original songs and tell stories in an intimate songwriter round. Join us as we celebrate these talented Black artists.
Feel free to bring a comfortable blanket or lawn chair. Admission is free.
Julia Cannon is an Alaska-raised and now Nashville-based songwriter, recording artist, and music producer who is hard to forget. Known for her outstanding musicality, disarming persona, beauty, style, and offbeat humor, Julia Cannon is a bright star to watch. In July 2022, she made her Newport Folk Festival debut, performing with the Black Opry as well as Langhorn Slim, Sierra Ferrell, Joy Oladokun, Adia Victoria, and several others, earning her a nod from Rolling Stone.
