About the Event
You are invited into the Clearing — a place for spiritual discovery and exploration, created in partnership by MashUp and Scarritt Bennett Racial Justice Ministries.
Our first gathering turns to the wisdom of Toni Morrison. We'll dive into "The Sermon in the Clearing," the powerful excerpt from Beloved (pages 102–104) featuring Baby Suggs' call to love our flesh. Come ready to reflect, discuss, and be in community as we explore what it means to reclaim love for our bodies and our wholeness.
