MashUp's 2025 Impact Report

The second annual MashUp Impact Report is now live on the MashUp website. For 9 years MashUp has positively impacted thousands of Black queer Nashvillians. This report is a beautiful illustration of that impact, highlights, and programmatic details. Included in the annual report is a financial section that outlines just how much of MashUp's budget is allocated back into the local community!
The report begins with an overview of MashUp's mission and vision. The report states that MashUp "center(s) Black queer liberation through holistic, identity-rooted programming & networks of care by our community, for our community." The report outlines MashUp's pillars and signature programming that solves for barriers that the community faces. Those pillars are:
Wholeness as a Path to Healing
Health Equity Through Identity Integration
Community Knowledge & Generational Wisdom
Leadership & Social Justice in Action
MashUp's Impact Report outlines what their programming and organizational efforts primarily go towards:
Creating community-centered healing & care spaces
Connecting holistic wellness education, access, & advocacy
Cultural organizing
Stewarding & power-building Black queer groups
Solidarity networking & resource alignment
Advancing health equity & ethical community-led participatory research
MashUp's 2025 Impact Report includes a page about the impact over the years. Some highlights included are:
From 2018-2025 hosting 100 program events, plus countless activations and tabling opportunies at other events.
From 2018-2025 Hosting 4,071 attendees local to Nashville/Middle TN.
From 2021-2025 Hosting 41 community volunteers.
They outline findings from their surveys that say, 87.5% of first time MashUp attendees are inspired to take action.
From 2023-2025 working with 54 community partners.
From 2020-2025 470+ donors supported MashUp.
They outline that 80% of the MashUp budget goes right back to local Black and queer businesses.
From 2023-2025 MashUp offered 240 free therapy hours through the Mindful MashUp Trans formation program and related events. Saving cohort participants $42,000 in client savings.
From 2022-2025 MashUp surveyed 612+ Black queer voices and each survey informed MashUp programming.
